Goog Music Month logoUnder the leadership of Musical Director Guy Noble and Director/Writer Drew Anthony, a host of Australian and international music stars will join Olivia Newton-John on Tuesday 30 September for an unforgettable night of music and song to bring down the curtain on the inaugural Good Music Month Festival at Sydney’s State Theatre.

The line-up includes Christine Anu, Carl Barron, Daryl Braithwaite, Kate Ceberano, Chantelle Delaney, Tim Freedman, Mark Gable (The Choirboys), Todd McKenney, Ian Moss, Paulini, Carl Riseley, Melinda Schneider, James Reyne, Guy Sebastian, Tempus, Axle Whitehead and the Brent Street Dancers along with the 25-piece State Symphony Orchestra.

The special Gala charity will raise money for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal. The funds will go towards providing a world-class cancer centre dedicated to providing the very best of care to cancer patients and integrated research facility in the search for new treatments and ultimately a cure for all cancers.

This special event will continue in Newton-John’s footsteps after her extraordinary fundraising efforts when Olivia and her supporters walked the Great Wall of China. Three of the September Gala performers joined Olivia for her recent Beijing charity walk including James Reyne, Melinda Schneider and Chantelle Delaney.

I was inspired to join the walk after losing my father to lung cancer four years ago. says Schneider. Supporting my dad through his illness has made me want to help and support others.

Olivia Newton-John needs your help to change the way cancer is treated around the world and find a cure, said Reyne.

Olivia’s appeal seems to be timeless. With a career spanning more than four decades she is still a vibrant, creative individual that is adored by fans across the world. Good Music Month features a stunning line-up for its inaugural year including Leo Sayer, The Whitlams with Symphonie des Femmes, Deep Blue Orchestra, Morning of the Earth live in concert and the special one-off charity event — Olivia Newton-John and Friends Gala Fundraising Concert.

A limited number of premium tickets are available which include a post-performance party with the artists. All proceeds go to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre Appeal.
